This project included the partial demolition and rebuilding of an existing office building on Hay Street. The new building was designed to be a contemporary and energy efficient office building and was designed to make the most of an awkward height difference between the street entry facing south and the car park entry facing north.
Plato Consulting was engaged as the Superintendent of the AS 4000-1997 Contract, responsible for establishing a development program and achieving target milestones; co-ordinating and appointing Design consultants; producing tender documentation; analysing and assessing tender bids of various consultants; reporting to the client with recommendations; undertaking regular site meetings and inspections; reviewing and approving progress claims and claims for extension of time(s) and/or notification of delays; issuing the necessary certificate(s) and notice(s); preparing client monthly financial/project report(s); negotiating contract variations and cost adjustment(s); and dealing with all technical queries. This project was completed in 2014.
