A new retail park in the centre of Currambine, built for secured tenants. The anchor tenant was Dome Café with the second phase of Currambine District Centre secured by Aldi.
Plato Consulting was engaged as the Superintendent of the AS 4000-1997 Contract, tasked with establishing a development program and achieving target milestones; coordinating and appointing design consultants, producing tender documentation; analysing and assessing tender bids of various consultants; reporting to the client with recommendations; undertaking regular site meetings and inspections; reviewing and approving progress claims and claims for extension of time(s) and/or notification of delays; issuing the necessary certificate(s) and notice(s); preparing client monthly financial/project report(s); negotiating contract variations and cost adjustment(s); and dealing with all technical queries.
Dome Café was a substantial two-storey indoor/outdoor eating venue with views incorporating a commercial kitchen, restrooms with disabled access toilet, an outside ramp and allocated car parking spaces. Other units comprised office spaces, a hair salon, dentist, Brightwater At Home care and support, a real estate agency and a Thai restaurant. Allocated parking bays were included for all tenants. The project was completed in 2013.
