This project was the construction and fit out of a new extension to the existing college building including new covered links and internal alterations to the existing Necropsy Building. The facility incorporates animal housing, student and staff change-rooms surgery and preparation areas, a seminar room and offices. Works also included extensive alterations and upgrades to existing services and reconfiguration of carpark areas. The existing facilities were occupied by students and staff during the construction period. The two-storey building was to comprise an in-situ concrete structure, masonry walls, feature limestone cladding and aluminium framed glazed windows

Employed by the builder, Steve Haskayne was engaged as the Project Manager, employed by the builder to oversee all subcontractors including awarding sub-contracts, approving payments and attending site meetings with all relevant stakeholders. As leading Project Manager, Steve Haskayne was awarded the 2011 WA Professional Excellence in Building Award for this project from the AIB ($1-10M commercial construction category). The project was completed in 2011.
