IIID Building, Murdoch University.
Value: $24m
Role: Project Manager.

This project saw the construction of a 5,500m2 four level research building comprising offices, consulting suites, laboratories, chemical and cell culture rooms, and cold and cool rooms. Specialised areas for medical research incorporating ‘physical containment’ laboratories, phlebotomy room, clinical trials room, and pre/post PCR labs were also required. The PC3 lab was built to attain zero pressure loss testing and built out of double skinned insulated stainless-steel panels.

As leading Project Manager, Steve Haskayne was awarded the 2009 WA Professional Excellence in Building Award for this project from the AIB ($10-50M commercial construction category). The project was completed in 2009.
