A new gymnasium building which include a sports hall, storage facilities, toilets/change rooms, a staff room on the ground level, an upper level including an exercise weights area and two classrooms, and a lower under croft area including a sports store and maintenance facilities. Associated site works, planters, stairs, paths and cricket nets are also required, plus a new covered link to provide undercover access between the existing facility and the new sports hall building. Scope of works to include additional oval access stairs and a bitumen parking area with 34 car bays. Our role will include coordination and connection of services to the new building. Works are not to impact the operation of the school or car park. Reinstatement of all areas affected by site services, extensions to the condition prior to the works commencing.
Plato Consulting has been engaged as the Superintendent of the AS 4000-1997 Contract, establishing a development program to achieve target milestones; coordinating and appointing design consultants; producing tender documentation; analysing and assessing tender bids of various consultants; reporting to the client with recommendations; undertaking regular site meetings and inspections; reviewing and approving progress claims and claims for extension of time(s) and/or notification of delays; issuing the necessary certificate(s) and notice(s); preparing client monthly financial/project report(s); negotiating contract variations and cost adjustment(s); and dealing with all technical queries. The project is due to start Jan 2021 (out to tender) with completion anticipated December 2021.
